There is always something interesting and fun to do at Lane House – and that is a lot to do with the fact that we employ a dedicated activities co-ordinator.

Their job is to organise events and activities that our residents really enjoy. That could be something simple, like a bowls competition in the back garden, an afternoon of playing bridge, or a quiz.

We also regularly arrange daytrips to stately homes and museums – or visits to restaurants or the local pub. Not forgetting trips to the shops. With Staffordshire’s excellent retail centres, there are plenty to choose from!

We also have visits from entertainers throughout the year. All activities are displayed on a board for all to see and choose from.

In most cases, the cost of our organised activities are met by a service users fund. However, sometimes a small fee is charged if a trip incurs particular significant expenses.
